Glas Wins Award for Best Sustainable Practices

Glas wins Best Sustainable Practices for the Dublin region at this year’s Irish Restaurant Awards 2025

Glas Restaurant, Dublin, wins big at ‘Food Oscars’.

The Glas team took home the award for Best Sustainable Practices for the Dublin region at this year’s Irish Restaurant Awards. The awards took place on May 19th at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road.

This is an amazing acknowledgement of all the hard work Head Chef, Malte Half, and the team put into creating a phenomenal menu whilst also being mindful of sustainable practices within the restaurant. The Glas ethos is rooted in sustainability, showcasing Irish-grown ingredients and supporting local farmers. Every dish is a celebration of creativity, with flavours and textures that push the boundaries of vegetarian and plant-based cuisine.

Head Chef, Malte Half, says: “We’re thrilled to be recognised for Best Sustainable Practices in the Dublin region. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do – from sourcing seasonal Irish produce to minimising food waste in our kitchen. This award is a huge honour for our entire team and a testament to the values we live by every day at Glas.”

Glas is at the heart of Dublin’s vibrant plant-based dining scene, and continues to redefine the standards of vegetarian and gluten-free cuisine. At Glas, we believe in the beauty of simplicity, using only seasonal vegetables and local produce to create gourmet dishes that both surprise and delight.
