Glas Restaurant launches weekend brunch menu
Glas has launched a Brunch Menu which will be served every Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon, with last reservation at 2.45 pm. As always at Glas, all dishes are Gluten Free.
‘We have had lots of requests to introduce a brunch menu and we just felt it was the right time,’ says Malte Half, Head Chef at Glas Restaurant.
The first official weekend for the new dedicated brunch menus is the June bank holiday weekend following a very successful ‘soft launch’ at the end of May.
‘We wanted to trial our dishes first as we now have such a diverse range of customers,’ says Paul Rooney, owner-manager of Glas. ‘As we serve plant-based food we obviously have lots of vegan and vegetarian customers as well as those who just love eating Irish food where veg is the star. We’ve also recently opted to be gluten-free, so to offer brunch that is vegan, vegetarian and coeliac-friendly is just another great offering for Dublin city centre. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated and passionate head chef like Malte who really drives innovation at Glas.’
‘We are always trying to do new things and cater for as wide an audience as possible,’ Malte says. ‘With such high quality local and seasonal produce available to us, it is just brilliant to keep Irish fruit and Irish veg as the centre of attention.’
Some of the standout dishes on the new vegan brunch menu include:
- Leek Arancini, Beetroot Aioli
- Potato Waffles Cashew Ricotta, Gorse Honey, Poached Pears
- Smoked Carrot & Potato Hash, Crispy Hens Egg, Dill Cream
- Flamed Halloumi, Roast Onion, Potato Rösti, Pea & Mint Salsa
- Patatas Bravas, Roast Vegetable Pesto
- Polenta Fries, Kimchi Aioli
- Macerated Strawberries, Cucumber Cake, Kelp Pavlova, Spiced Tomato Sorbet
- Caramelized Chocolate Mousse, Carrot Brownie, Sour Apple Gel
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Dublin brunch without the best cocktails in the city! Glas has really built a much-deserved reputation for its cocktail list, wine list and craft beers over the past five years.
